Idube Game Reserve is a world of big-game adventure deep in the Sabi Sand Reserve, which forms part of the greater Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga. Idube's guides are trained to provide first-rate game viewing from open vehicles, as well as informative botanical walks. Delicious traditional cuisine and warm-hearted hospitality are also among Idube’s special features.
Ten comfortable chalets are set among shade-giving trees. All accommodation is air-conditioned and en-suite. Camp facilities include a viewing deck near a waterhole, a large boulder pool set in the shade of trees, and a sunken hide overlooking the Shadulu dam. An open lounge invites the surroundings in and provides glimpses of animals wandering through the camp.
At Idube visitors are likely to see not only lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant, but also many other species such as impala, kudu, waterbuck, nyala, zebra and giraffe. Cheetahs and wild dogs will sometimes reveal themselves too. Night safaris often bring sightings of hippos feeding out of the water, or white-tailed mongooses, bushbabies, civets and jackals. |
