Lukimbi Safari Lodge is an exclusive 15 000 ha private concession in the accessible southern part of the Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga – one of the last strongholds of the endangered Black Rhino. Reaching deep into the wilderness, this stylish lodge expresses plush and contemporary comfort.
The lodge is set along the banks of the Lwakahle River, with wooden walkways linking the different areas. Sixteen spacious suites offer African-styled luxury and superb bushveld views. The Giant Eagle Owl Suite and the King Cheetah Suite have their own pool, dining room and second bathroom. With a chapel, conference centre, library, salon and gym, Lukimbi is host to blue-chip safaris and special events.
Bounded by three river systems, Lukimbi offers access to various habitats, including grasslands, woodlands and riverine thickets. The area is ideal for large herds of zebra, wildebeest and other plains game. The white rhino is often seen enjoying the numerous pans, whilst the more elusive black rhino frequents the wooded areas. Lukimbi now offers a choice of 1-, 2- or 3-day guided walking safaris.
