Tau Game Lodge is a family-friendly lodge set amid rocky outcrops, scattered hillocks, plains and sweeping grasslands in the Madikwe Game Reserve, North-West Province. The landscape is spectacular and free of malaria.

The central lodge and 30 thatched chalets have supreme views across a bird-populated pan. Set at the water’s edge, the chalets have private sundecks from which to view the comings and goings of animals and birds. All the Big Five roam the area, also known as the Groot Marico and acclaimed for its exquisite moonrises and rock formations many millions of years old.

A well-tailored children’s programme orientates young safari-goers in the ways of the wilds, leaving parents free to rejevenate at the uniquely African Spa Oasis and view big game aplenty on professionally guided game excursions. With accommodation for 64 guests and a stylish five-star conference venue, Tau also offers an outstanding corporate safari.
