DAY 01
Depart Cape Town Airport/Hotel and drive to either Hermanus, Gansbaai, Arniston or the De Hoop Area. All are popular and close to the world’s best land-based whale watching destinations. Enjoy the scenic beauty of these areas, as well as the mild climate and a range of outdoor attractions.
OVERNIGHT IN HERMANUS, GANSBAAI, ARNISTON OR THE DE HOOP NATURE RESERVE
DAY 02
After breakfast, check out and drive inland towards Swellendam or Montague. Visit the Faerie Sanctuary and the nearby wine routes of Robertson, Barrydale and Montague. Scenic walks, birding and Golf are nearby.

DAY 03
After an early breakfast, continue over the picturesque Tradouw Pass, entering the “Little Karoo” at Barrydale. Continue via Ladismith, set against the imposing Swartberg Mountains, on to Oudtshoorn visit the Cango Caves, internationally renowned as one of the world’s great natural wonders with spectacular stalactite and stalagmite formations, the Ostrich Show Farm and Cango Wildlife Ranch.

DAY 04
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to the Knysna / Plettenberg Bay area (approximately 190 km drive). Travel over the scenic Outeniqua Pass towards George, the sixth oldest town in South Africa, Wilderness, with its natural beauty of rivers and lakes and the picturesque seaside resort of Sedgefield.
OVERNIGHT IN KNYSNA OR PLETTENBERG BAY
DAY 05
After breakfast, travel to Knysna and take a cruise to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. Enjoy a trailer ride to the top of the Western Head, returning to lunch under milkwood trees. Return to Knysna after lunch.

DAY 06
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head towards St Francis Bay or Jeffrey’s Bay. Drive eastward
through the dense indigenous Tsitsikamma forests with giant yellowwood trees, waterfalls, lakes, mountains, streams and deep gorges. Continue through farmlands before reaching St Francis Bay or Jeffrey’s Bay (approximately a 210 km drive), both of which are picturesque seaside towns.

DAY 07
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to a private game lodge in the Addo Elephant
National Park or nearby. Enjoy a late afternoon/evening game drive and sundowners in the bush, before returning to a congenial dinner at the lodge.

DAY 08
An early morning game drive precedes a hearty breakfast. Spend the rest of the morning at leisure or enjoy a guided bush walk. Enjoy lunch and relax at the lodge until the late afternoon/evening game drive followed by dinner.

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Port Elizabeth (approximately a 100 km drive). Explore the town and visit the Aquarium where Dolphins perform

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Port Elizabeth Airport (approximately a 100 km drive). Return the hired car. Fly from Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg.
